Who can use Leegal?

Leegal is intended for adults who want to create or manage a business. The service is not intended for minors.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe that a minor has used the service or sent us personal data, contact us so that we can review and delete the relevant data where required.

Data we collect

We collect the data you provide when you create an account, use the assistant, prepare a file, upload documents, sign documents, pay for a service or contact support.

This may include identity and contact data, account data, company creation data, legal-form choices, business activity, addresses, directors, shareholders, beneficial owners, tax and social options, capital information, domiciliation information and the documents required for the file.

Some formalities may require official information or documents, such as proof of identity, a declaration of non-conviction, filiation information, a domiciliation contract, a commercial register extract for the domiciliation company, a capital deposit certificate or signed company documents.

We also process technical data needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser, device, access logs, timestamps, language preferences and security events.

Why we use your data

We use personal data to create and manage your account, authenticate you, guide you through the assistant, prepare your business creation file, generate documents, collect supporting documents, manage signatures, payments, invoices and support requests, and submit or prepare submission to the competent authorities where applicable.

We also use data to secure the service, prevent fraud, maintain logs, improve the quality of the product and comply with legal, accounting and administrative obligations.

Assistant and automated processing

The assistant helps you answer questions and prepare the information needed for your file. Your answers may be processed by technical AI providers to generate suggestions, classifications or draft content.

Leegal does not make a final administrative decision about your registration. You remain responsible for reviewing the information before validation, and the competent authorities remain responsible for their own decisions.

Recipients and service providers

Your data is accessible only to people and providers who need it for the purposes described in this policy.

Depending on your use of the service, recipients may include the Leegal team, hosting and database providers, file storage providers, authentication providers, email providers, electronic signature providers, payment providers, AI providers, workflow and logging tools, legal publication partners, the INPI Guichet unique and competent public authorities.

How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.

Account data
Kept while the account is active, then deleted or archived after account closure where possible.
Draft files
Kept for up to 24 months after the last activity, unless you delete them earlier or ask us to delete them.
Completed files and signed documents
Kept for the time needed to provide proof of the service, handle follow-up and meet legal obligations.
Invoices and accounting records
Kept for 10 years where required by accounting rules.
Security logs
Usually kept for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is needed to investigate an incident.
Support messages
Kept for the time needed to answer you and manage the history of your request.

Leegal currently uses only cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the service, such as authentication, security, session management and language preference.

We do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies requiring consent at this stage. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before placing those cookies.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, authentication, secure storage, logging, backups and encrypted communications where applicable.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account or data has been exposed, contact us as soon as possible.
