Scope

These terms apply to paid services ordered online through Leegal. They supplement the terms of use, privacy policy and legal notice.

If these terms conflict with the terms of use on a commercial matter, these terms of sale prevail for that matter.

Services sold

Leegal may sell services related to business creation, such as guided file preparation, document generation, supporting-document follow-up, signature flows, file review, legal-publication support and preparation or submission to competent authorities where applicable.

The exact content of each offer is shown before payment. Leegal is not a law firm, accounting firm or regulated legal advice service, and the service does not replace advice from a qualified professional where your situation requires it.

Customer

The service is reserved for adults. Minors are not authorized to order a paid service on Leegal.

The customer may act as a consumer, non-professional or professional depending on their situation and the purpose of the order. Mandatory consumer protection rules apply where required by law.

Order process

Before payment, the customer can review the selected offer, the price, mandatory legal fees shown by Leegal, the main service characteristics and these terms.

The order is placed when the customer validates the payment flow after accepting the applicable terms. Leegal may confirm the order by email, in the customer account or on the payment confirmation page.

Leegal may refuse or cancel an order in case of fraud, attempted fraud, payment failure, manifest error, unlawful request, inability to provide the service or prior dispute with the customer.

Prices and mandatory legal fees

Prices are shown in euros before payment. They may be shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT depending on the context displayed in the interface.

Leegal fees are separate from mandatory legal, administrative, registry, publication, signature, payment or third-party fees unless the interface expressly states otherwise.

When mandatory legal fees are known and collected by Leegal, they are displayed before payment. When a fee must be paid directly to a third party or may vary after review, the customer is informed where possible.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of order, unless a different payment schedule is expressly shown before validation.

Payments are processed by secure payment providers, including Stripe. Leegal does not store full bank card numbers.

If payment is refused, cancelled, charged back or not completed, Leegal may suspend or cancel the order and access to the related paid service.

Invoices

An invoice may be made available in the customer account or sent by email after payment. The customer must provide accurate billing information.

If the invoice needs to be corrected, the customer should contact Leegal promptly.

Performance of the service

Leegal starts performing the service after order validation, payment confirmation and, where applicable, receipt of the information and documents required from the customer.

Delivery times shown on the website are estimates unless expressly stated otherwise. Administrative deadlines, registry processing, INPI processing, legal-publication processing, third-party services and missing customer information may extend the timeline.

The customer must cooperate, answer questions, provide accurate information, upload requested documents and validate drafts or documents in due time.

Customer responsibility

The customer is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and lawfulness of the information and documents provided to Leegal.

The customer must review the generated documents, legal-form choices, tax and social options, addresses, directors, shareholders, beneficial owners and any other information before signature, payment, validation or submission.

Right of withdrawal

When the customer is legally entitled to a withdrawal right, they have 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason.

The customer can exercise this right by sending a clear request to [email protected], or through any dedicated online withdrawal feature made available by Leegal when required.

If the customer expressly asks Leegal to start the service before the end of the withdrawal period, the customer may have to pay for the part of the service already provided before withdrawal. If the service is fully performed before the end of the withdrawal period with the customer’s prior express request and acknowledgment, the withdrawal right may no longer apply where permitted by law.

Mandatory legal or administrative fees already paid to third parties may be non-refundable when they have already been committed, consumed or paid to the relevant body.

Refunds

If a valid withdrawal or refund request is accepted, Leegal refunds the eligible amounts using the original payment method where possible.

Refunds do not cover services already performed, third-party fees already committed, legal-publication fees already launched, administrative fees already paid, or amounts excluded by mandatory law or the offer conditions, where this exclusion is permitted by applicable law.

A refusal by an administration does not automatically create a right to a refund if the service ordered by the customer has been performed correctly by Leegal on the basis of the information provided.

Modification or cancellation by the customer

The customer can request a modification or cancellation by contacting Leegal. The request is handled according to the progress of the file.

If work has already started, documents have been generated, publication has been launched, signatures have been initiated or a submission has been prepared or sent, some amounts may remain due or non-refundable.

Modification or cancellation by Leegal

Leegal may cancel or suspend a service if the customer provides false or incomplete information, does not provide required documents, does not respond to necessary requests, asks for an unlawful service, fails to pay, or breaches the terms of use.

If Leegal cannot provide a paid service for a reason attributable to Leegal, the customer may receive a refund of the eligible amounts paid for the unavailable service.

Liability

Leegal is responsible for providing the paid service with reasonable care, within the limits provided by law.

Leegal is not responsible for inaccurate information provided by the customer, customer delay, missing documents, choices validated by the customer, administrative refusal or delay, third-party service failure, force majeure, or use of the service contrary to the terms.

Consumer mediation

If the customer acts as a consumer and a dispute cannot be resolved directly with Leegal, the customer may have access to consumer mediation in accordance with applicable law.

The name and contact details of the competent mediator will be provided in the service or by Leegal once the mediator has been designated. Until then, the customer can contact Leegal at [email protected] so that an amicable solution can be sought.

Personal data

Personal data processed in connection with orders, payments, invoices and files is handled as described in the privacy policy.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. The French version prevails in case of discrepancy between versions, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

In case of dispute, the customer should first contact Leegal at [email protected]. If no amicable solution is found, the competent courts are determined according to the applicable procedural rules.
